Personal Info
For a number of years I have been helping clients to navigate, understand, process and work to overcome their emotional pain, shame, grief and trauma. I have experience working with clients who struggle with depression, CPTSD, trauma, anxiety, chemical addiction and serious mental illness in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I received my MSW from Silberman School of Social Work (Hunter College) and my Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
My approach to therapy is empathetic, empowering and collaborative. My therapeutic orientation is relational, psychodynamic and interpersonal. I believe that what often happensspontaneously in the moment during the session can be revelatory and reflective of one’s experience relating to world. I provide compassion to help clients find their courage to explore more about the sources of their struggles and what they are afraid of within themselves so that they can eventually find healing, enhanced sense of self and a better quality of life.
