Ato Williams, LCSW, CASAC-MC is a Licensed CLinical Social Worker anf a Credentialed Substance Use Counsleor with advanced certification.  As an African American man with lived experience of incarceration, Ato brings a unique and powerful blend of clinical expertise, deep empathy, and a profound commitment to  justice and healing.  With extensive experience supporting justice-involved individuals and their families, Ato integrates evidence-based practices with a personal understanding of the challenges faced by those navigating complex systems.  His work is grounded in a restortative approach that prioritizes dignity, resilience, and long-term recovery.  Ato has served as a mental health and substance use consultant for New York City's Administration for Children's Services (ACS) and was a member of the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) and NYPD's Co- Response team; an initiative designed to improve outcomes for individuals experiencing menatl health crises across NYC.  In addition, he has held various clinincal and/or leadership po sitions at many of New York City's leading social services organizations.  Above all, Ato is a devoted husband and father of three.  He remains deeply passionate about building equitable systems of care and creating transformative pathways for the communities he serves.
